This is a great subwoofer cable for an affordable price.
The Good

Price definitely does not match performance in this case. The THX-Certified Subwoofer Interconnect Cable tops subwoofer cables in the lower price range. The color coding is easy to use and the quality is stellar.

The Bad

Obviously, this cable does not perform as well as subwoofer cables that are at the top of the charts (with top of the line large price tags). For $20, would you really expect it to?

While it may not meet the highest of standards, this subwoofer cable is a great buy. In comparison to other cables in this price range, the Monster Standard THX- Certified Subwoofer Interconnect Cable is hard to beat. It is a lovely subwoofer cable for the run of the mill audiophile who just wants to get the most out of his or her home theater or speaker system.

Don’t have a lot of cash to spend on cables? No problem! Thanks to Monster, the Standard 1/2 THX-Certified Subwoofer Interconnect Cable is a no frills, wallet friendly alternative to high-end models. While this cable is definitely not to be paired with high-priced audio systems, it is certainly a performance solution for the larger community of audio enthusiasts on a budget.

Monster, together with THX, created the home audio cable certification standard in order to ensure a minimum level of quality in any certified cable. It is kind of odd for Monster to have control over their product’s certification; however, it is still a nice gesture because it does offer the consumer a reasonable level of expectation about the quality of their AV cable.

The installation was definitely easy enough— just plug in the cable. The color-coded cable connectors are a nice touch too because they reduce the stress associated with hooking up a system and not knowing what you are doing.

Obviously, this cable is not of the same caliber as top-end models; however, the tonal quality, clarity and bass channel are all quite impressive. The Monster Standard 1/2 THX-Certified Subwoofer Interconnect Cable is a perfect upgrade for low to midrange priced audio systems.
